Car came from New Mexico, have pictures to document frame off build about 15 years ago. It has a 302 Ford engine with Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, headers  and automatic overdrive transmission. Frontend has been updated with Chrysler Cordova torsion bar suspension and power disc brakes. A Cordova rear end was also installed with 2.71 gears for cruising. Car has power steering, tilt steering column, power front seat, new gauges, excellent glass, excellent chrome bumpers and perfect grill. The interior has recent carpet and maroon and white rolled and pleated seats with a finished trunk. The 15” chrome artillery wheels and wide white wall Coker tires are brand new. The dual exhaust along with turbo mufflers are also brand new. Lakes pipes are not hooked up but it would be easy the way the pipes run and the spotlights are dummy. 1951 MERCURY CUSTOM - SOLD
This is a custom 1951 Mercury project that could still be personalized. It was being built as a clone to: http://www.greaterdakotaclassics.com/carpages/sold/51_mercury.htm
The former owner had the car 9 years, took lots of pictures of “Desperado” and spent 5 years building a replica. But………………. the builder/former owner went to the Car Craft Nationals and got bit badly by a 600 hp Camaro and has changed directions. It has been chopped 4”, body work is done and painted black, has the Desoto grill and bumpers, ’50 Merc rear window, ’91 caddy tail lights, frenched park lights, nosed, decked, shaved, frenched headlights, rounded hood corners, skirts, new radial wide white wall tires and has many other custom touches. It also has a fresh 350/350 but needs interior, air ride completed, drive shaft, glass and some wiring. Paint and body are done except for chroming of the bumpers and grill, paint has a few chips. It still will require work to finish but has a lot of the hard/costly work done with a nice chop and several other custom touches. I have quite a few more pictures if you are interested.

1956 MERCURY 2 DOOR HARDTOP - SOLD
This Red & White 2 door hardtop is a non-restored car that has had one repaint a few years back. It runs great with the 312 cubic inch V-8 and automatic transmission which is the original drivetrain. All glass is good, stainless is okay and I think the front bumper probably was rechromed. It has the original Mercury wire wheel hubcaps and gangster wide white bias-ply tires. The original radio works, the dash has no cracks so it probably has been stored inside. The exhaust system is new with nice mellow glass packs on dual exhaust with chrome tips. The front fenders, inner and outer rockers, rear fenders, trunk floor show no rust. However the front body mounts do show some rust and the front floor does show some repair. Car has new front shocks and the engine has had a recent tune-up, oil change and grease job.
The car is a nice driver that you can get in and go anywhere, all lights including signal, brakes, windows, etc. work properly. Fly in, I will pick you up at our airport, and drive her home or if you like I would be happy to help you arrange door to door shipment by a reputable reasonable shipper.

1951 CUSTOM MERCURY PROJECT - SOLD
The car is exactly as shown in the pictures except that it is now in black primer/sealer. It does have power four wheel disc brakes, 9" Ford rear on a four bar setup, dropped spindles, air ride, the top is chopped, garnish moldings are finished, new gas tank is installed, all corners rounded, frenched 54 Merc tail lights, frenched head lights, Desoto bumpers, Desoto grill, molded side pipes, door handles removed, vent windows removed and the list goes on. 1949 MERCURY SEDAN - SOLD
Just in, fresh out of 20 years climate controlled storage. The car has the original flathead V8 with a three speed and overdrive transmission. The car starts right up and runs great, radiator is good, gas tank was bad so it is running off a gas can, brakes are bad but new linings are in the trunk along with some other extra parts. The interior is "okay" and at some time over 20 years ago the exterior had a repaint. The glass is good with only one vent window crack, they all roll up and down with ease. Low gear in the transmission evidently has a chipped cog but I have an extra transmission I can send with the car.
If you are wondering what you can do with a four door check out http://www.greaterdakotaclassics.com/carpages/sold/51_mercury.htm and
Like I said this car runs great but because of brakes it will need to be trailered or shipped. I have driven the car using second and third gear, second, third and reverse are fine. If you are looking for shipping quotes you can Google auto transporters for 10 free no obligation quotes. The car is at our showroom in Devils Lake, ND 58301

1951 MERCURY - SOLD
Here is a good looking, good running 1951 Mercury 4 door sedan with automatic transmission. The car has some minor rust but is as good as they get for not being restored, the floors and inner rockers look good.  It runs and drives great and has a great sound with dual pipes. I have driven this car on the highway and it drives smooth with no rattles or unusual noises.
The previous owner had this car since the year 2000 and only drove it about 50 miles in the last few years, iwas kept in storage. It has a good clear title and I believe you could drive it as is most anywhere. All gauges and lights work properly, tires are decent radials, upholstery is original and not to bad, some cracks in glass. This car is complete, had a paint job many years ago, had recent brake work, new battery and ready for a new owner.  The skirts, spotlights and visor stay with the car. Check out our shop tour for pictures of 4 door Mercs we have built.

This is a great project, the top has already been chopped by A&A restoration in Rapid City. They chopped the top and tacked it back together for a guy that was going to finish the project himself  ( he never got to it.) The car has been completely soda blasted and is primed. The car had been in storage for 40 years and only has 44,000 actual miles. Motor, transmission and radiator are missing but everything else is complete. This car is as rust free as they get, inner and outer rockers are good, quarter panels are good, rear window and the rubber are good. The car has a good title and is ready to be finished.
